Pastor Claude continues our theme 'Use It or Lose It' as he unpacks the parable of the farmer sowing seed.

This parable is the key to understanding all other parables. Anyone who hears God's Word, gains access to the supernatural Power of God. BUT it doesn't work unless you work it. You are rewarded for applying the Word to your life, not for sitting on the sidelines being a spectator in church.

Start small and watch God grow what you have and give you more.

This is Love | Resurrection Sunday

Resurrection Sunday is the day when Christians celebrate and remember Jesus Christ defeating sin and death. This happened because of God's love for us. He sacrificed His Son on a cross for the salvation of man.

God demonstrated to us what it means to have love for one another. The selfless kind that shows God to others.

And now, because of what Jesus did on the cross, we have Heaven on the inside of us always.

Resurrection Sunday, 4th April 2021 

This is Love | Good Friday

The message of Easter can often look a lot like life - Friday is the suffering and the pain, Saturday is confusion and grief, But then Sunday comes with victory.

Failure is not the opposite to success, it's often apart of the journey. Many thought that Friday was the end of the story, but Sunday was just around the corner and in fact, it was only the beginning.

Open Heaven

God wants to see us growing in 3 areas - growing in Christ, growing in sowing, and growing in going.

Pastor Claude concludes our Devoted series this week talking about how God opens the Heavens when we are generous towards His house and His work.

Giving in to the house of God is house we make the Kingdom of God our primary concern.

A Passion for People

As Pastor Carolyn continues our Vision Builders theme - Devoted, she expresses how we are a church that is passionate for people. We are a church for everyone, and to make disciples. We exist to know Him, and make Him known to others.

To build His church, we all must contribute. It's good to attend, it's great to commit, but contributing is essential.

 It is time for us to play our part to captivate the next generation to receive the Kingdom of God. Is our story shining God's light for others to see?

There is a story that God has for us, both as individuals and as Awaken City, we just need to take hold of it, just like the Israelites took the promised land.

Devoted

As a church, our vision is to be a bible believing, soul winning and nation changing church. Connected to that is our value to build a church that is founded on the Word of God.

As Awaken City, we have been effective in reaching the lost and helping those that need it for over a decade, and our vision and values haven't changed. We're still as devoted to bringing the gospel to people in this House of God.

What Identifies Us?

In the Kingdom of God, we are identified by the way we live our lives, not by carrying a bible or by having a bumper sticker on our car, we are Christians by showing Christ to others through our actions.

The ideal place to be in is one where hope and faith are our default thoughts. When it is the default for ourselves in our minds, it starts to flow out into our friends, family, workplaces and every other area of life.

The Gospel Unmasked

Supernatural faith holds on for the breakthrough. Supernatural faith prays loud and bold. Supernatural faith produces same day obedience.

As followers of Jesus, we must remember the call that He gave us in the gospel - go into the world and make disciples. Whether that be your friends, family or neighbours, or you're called to travel across the world to help those that need it, the call is the same for all of us.
